A Tradition of Excellence
Becky has grown up under the guidance of her talented riding parents, who have encouraged her to always strive to be her best and get the most out of every ride. And horses have always been integral to her way of life and riding a passion that has always provided a sense of achievement and purpose.
Having ridden before she could walk and had lots of fun and success on ponies along the way Becky’s international riding career began when she represented Australia in India as part of the Young Rider Team and won the events she competed in. She then spent 6 months in Holland in 2002 training with Albert Vorn – the silver medalist at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Since then, she hasn’t looked back having a successful team of both jumpers and show horses out and about 52 weeks of the year. Ultimately Becky’s aim is to have a number of top level world cup horses that would allow her to gain selection to represent Australian on the world stage.
Keeping a talented team of horses competition ready is a full time job. Yet Becky also finds enough hours in the day to attend clinics, coach riders and help others fine tune their riding for upcoming events. Sponsorship partners Barastoc, Stockgain and Horse in the Box provide invaluable support and assistance to the RSB team. And in the competitive world of riding all sponsorship involvement is greatly appreciated and valued.
Becky has recently been reawarded a scholarship to the Victorian Institute of Sport which will help in the overall preparation for competitions throughout the next year.
Team RSB – Training Tomorrow’s Champions
Becky is part of ‘Team RSB’–Team Robbie, Sarah and Becky—a unique, physically demanding close-knit family run business at Arthur’s Creek.
Riding Coaching Clinics
If you think that you might like to improve your performances or you might be having trouble with a particular aspect of your riding Becky will be able to work with you to set up a training/coaching regime that will suit you.
The purpose built facility in Arthur’s Creek is fully set up to provide riders and horses with the perfect training environment with a sand and grass jumping arenas and work track. Becky has a special talent for training young riders, encouraging and challenging them to go to the next level, with a truly empathetic, fun style. Most young riders achieve more in one lesson than they have in the last six months just through enjoying themselves in a professional training environment.
Training Young Horses
When not away competing Becky and the RSB team are renowned for taking young horses and providing them with a start to their performance careers. A service that is invaluable, if you lack either the time, confidence or experience to get the most out of your young horses.
An initial assessment will allow a program to be developed to suit your horse and work out what your ultimate goals are how to best get your young horses to reach them. Sometimes these programs will last a few weeks, with follow up training sessions others can last months with regular spelling periods built in to ensure young horses are kept fresh and enthusiastic.
Instruction days/clinics
Throughout the year all members of the RSB team are available to conduct training clinics and participate training/instruction days throughout Australia. The best thing to do if you are looking for a talented jumping instructor, is to approach them to work out a program to suit. Robbie, Sarah and Becky are all qualified coaches with up to date first aid and available to travel to clinics.
Day rates for clinics depend upon the numbers of riders and all travel/accommodation expenses are charged as incurred.
