After a year off, Melbourne Show was back in full swing and the lady riders seemed to own the show! Bec had a fantastic show with Super Ted performing to his absolute best against some pretty stiff competition. On a freezing Saturday night he conquered his fear of the big screen and jumped superbly to be placed a very close third in the World Cup, behind Wendy and Amy who both jumped fantastic rounds. And from there, went on to Win the Prince of Wales Cup – an outstanding effort.
RSB Jacana who got almost a wild card entry to the show, only qualifying at the last minute (at Adelaide Royal), proved herself to be more than ready for what Melbourne had in store with two placings and some really outstanding performances for such a young mare.
And just to prove that being versatile is what it’s all about, Bec pulled the turnout gear out of mothballs to finish the show on a high with placings on Jackie Winter in the rider class, show hunter and Garryowen!
Now after a week of cleaning gear and bringing the young horses in it’s time to head off on the next adventure…
